Revisiting 2020 -> Looking Forward to 2021

Hello,

Thank you for your support over a tumultuous 2020. Even with all the adverse circumstances The Lord still is on the throne and reigns.

Ministry looked a lot different in 2020, from March to mid May our church did not meet in person. It was the first missed Sunday for Calvary Chapel Montebelluna in its history. However once it was apparent that the pandemic was going to be for an extended period of time we started doing services online. Living streaming both Sunday and Wednesday. It was a difficult time for me, because the church and meeting in the church has been basically my life for the last five years. However as the pandemic got better closer to summer, we began to meet again in our building. Italy requires a few things in order for us to meet as a church in the building. Our chairs in the sanctuary have to be six feet apart, we have to wear masks the whole time inside the building, and we set up a hand sanitizing station at the entrance of the property. Honestly these minor details haven’t hindered people from coming to worship. Even with all the uncertainty right now in Italy people are searching for answers. I haven’t seen this many new people coming to church every week there are new faces. God is redeeming this horrible time for His glory!

One ministry that has grown for me this last year has been the College Group ministry. As Abigail and I get married this June, one of the biggest things that we are called too as a couple is too continue the discipleship in the College Group. This summer I did an Inductive Bible Study course with four young men in the group. We met every week after church at Pastor Rod Thompson’s house. He made up a workbook that he often has led his interns and students through over the years at Calvary Chapel Bible College Murrieta. xMy prayer and heart behind this discipleship is to raise up church planters we have eight Calvary’s in Italy I would love to see that number double. That is the focus for 2021 is a continued emphasis on discipleship in the College Group. Pray for our group there as been a lot new people coming into the group. We will be going through Romans for the year so please pray that the gospel will touch their lives.

Please Pray for the Follow:

  1. Abigail and I are planning to get married in June. Please pray for all the details that go into planning that.

  2. Pray for an apartment for us to find an apartment.

  3. Pray for Joao, Christian, and Mario. These are the guys that I have been going through Inductive Bible Study method with.

  4. Pray for our Bible College, we will be starting are new spring semester in March.
