Here is a little glimpse of our second trip to Hungary.
Our main stop was at the Calvary Chapel conference center in Vajta. We helped with house keeping, kitchen prep, and children ministry. It is a great place for people to be cared for, and also be introduced to the gospel. They have been housing a hundred refugees a week.
We also made a special trip to a city called Debrecen. Debrecen is locater in eastern Hungary close to the border with Ukraine. The church has been influential in refugee relief. We brought supplies for them to use at the border and bring into the Ukraine.
These experiences for me have been life changing. To talk with people who have lost everything. There are many women and children who have fled and have no idea where their husband / dads are. All they know is that they are fighting. They cannot talk with them or be in contact for security reasons. It is one thing to see the impact on the TV it is a totally different experience to see it right in front of you.
