End of the Year Update!

Hey y’all!

Thankful for all of the support through this year! These are some of the things that happened in this fall in Montebelluna, Italy.

Bible College:

  • I teach a course called Mission & Evangelism every semester. This class is focused primarily on giving the students a glimpse into what mission’s looks like in Italy and Europe. With covid it has been difficult to do much outside of Italy. as a result our focus has been primarily on serving the Calvary’s in Italy since the pandemic.

  • We did one outreach to a local Calvary in Ferrara (about 2 hours away). Our mission was to help them with their youth ministry. So we spent the day hanging out with them and in the evening our students got to share their testimonies.

  • One other event we got to serve at was the Calvary Chapel Western European Pastors & Leaders Conference. At this conference we got to serve in the kitchen and dinning room. The conference was a week long providing pastors and leaders the opportunity to be refreshed and poured into.

Church :

  • College Group Ministry : It was a good fall of ministry with the college group. We meet twice a month. We are going through the book of Roman’s. The Lord has been showing me the power of faithfulness through this group. Meeting and preparing the studies isn’t “flashy” like Bible college ministry. But the vision for the group is grow disciples for Jesus in Italy. That comes through loving and growing friendships with the individuals that are coming.

  • We are organizing a retreat for the youth / college groups over New Years. Please be praying for us as we organize and prepare this event. The theme verse for the retreat is Galatians 2:20.

  • In November we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the church being planted in Montebelluna. We had a celebration at the church. With an evening of worship and testimonies. Many of the local pastors from different congregations came and shared a little bit of encouragement for us as a congregation to keep going. It was a cool way for us to promote unity as well in the evangelical world in Italy. There are maybe 10 evangelical churches in our region of 4.5 million people. So it is important that we are united in preaching the gospel.

Personal :

  • The church laid their hands on me to recognize me as the College Pastor of the church. It was a real honor and privilege.

  • Abigail and I celebrate 6 months of marriage this month. It has been a great transition for me. It is so much better living with a woman that a bunch of 18 year old dudes.

  • We are celebrating Christmas here with Abigail’s family. (Picture below is our Christmas tree).

We are looking forward to coming back to the states next summer for a trip to visit.

Prayer :

  • Pray for Abigail’s and mine marriage that we would continue to build on a good foundation. Always keeping the Lord at the center of our lives.

  • Pray for me as the college group has so many new people. We have our 60 people in our WhatsApp chat. I can’t get to know everyone as well I would want. Pray for me to have wisdom in getting people more involved in leadership in the group.

  • Pray for our church. It has been a revival year for us. Many new people coming to church on a weekly basis. Our sanctuary is always full capacity every Sunday. Pray that God would continue to pour out His Spirit on the Italian church!

God bless you, and Abigail and I wish you a Merry Christmas!
